Choose the right terry towel

When choosing and purchasing terry towel, you must focus on the density, absorbency, softness and pile height of terry cloth.

1. Density

The lower the density, the shorter the time it will serve you. Density can be determined by weighing, for example, towel 50*100 cm with a density of 550 g/m2 will be weigh 0.275 kg. Quality towel with a density of 420-450 g/m2 will last you more than 3 years.

2. Absorption

The highest quality and best for terry products is considered raw material from gray cotton. Several types of yarn are used in production: double, twisted, combed and single. Considered one of the best combed yarn, as it provides the best moisture absorption.

3. Softness

Some manufacturers add viscose (synthetics) to cotton, which gives a soft feel, but absorbency such tissue is rapidly deteriorating. If the label says - 100% cotton (PC), then rest assured, there are already synthetics. The softness of 100% natural fabric is guaranteed additional technological processes in production.

4. Pile height

Too long pile (height 8 mm or more) is as bad as too short pile (height 2.5 mm or less). This is explained very simply: a long pile gives the impression of density and "power", but after the first wash it loses its original trade dress. A short pile will not provide you with good moisture absorption, a towel quickly becomes wet and unpleasant for your beloved skin.
